How do you calculate billable hours?

  1. Add up billable minutes for each day.
  2. Total them for the week.
  3. Divide by 60 for decimal hours.

What is a good billable percentage?

There’s no one standard across professions. For therapists, the closest benchmark is a productivity target. ASHA’s 2025 survey found a median productivity requirement of 80% for SLPs across settings. For other fields, compare with your employer’s target or your own past weeks.

Can I estimate billed revenue?

If you enter an hourly rate, the calculator multiplies it by your decimal billable hours. This is only an estimate. Therapy billing usually depends on CPT codes, units and payer fee schedules, not a flat hourly rate.
